US Teens Continuing to Struggle With Anxiety

Mental health doctors and advocates are examining a disturbing new trend that is plaguing teenagers across the US.

According to various reports, more US teens are battling stress and anxiety compared to previous generations of youth.

The Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA reports that 41 percent of all incoming freshmen feel overwhelmed by their schoolwork and other daily activities.

Researchers also found that anxiety levels are increasing among all groups of teenagers, regardless of their socio-economic stance.

Anxiety continues to be the most common mental health disorder amongst US adults with nearly one-third of citizens suffering from the disease.
