Study: Extreme Poverty Impacting Americans

According to a new investigation conducted by the United Nations, Americans are now facing extreme poverty at unprecedented rates.

The study found that individuals throughout various states face unsafe sanitation disposal practices, uncontrolled homeless rates, and continual harassment.

Previously, extreme poverty has generally impacted third world countries where upwards class mobility is limited.

While poverty has continuously been present in America, homeless rates have quickly grown over the last two decades due to increasing disparities between wealthy and poor citizens.

“The American Dream is rapidly becoming the American Illusion, as the US now has the lowest rate of social mobility of any of the rich countries,” the report stated.
