New York Hospital Gets $10M Grant to Continue Helping Patients in Need of Joint Reconstruction

The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York received a $10 million grant earlier this week from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

Funds will be used for expansion projects for the clinics, research and education departments of the Complex Joint Reconstruction Center, which helps thousands of patients who are suffering from debilitating complications or need surgery for failed implants.

The clinic’s research department conducts in-depth research on the causes and preventions of implant failure and also help thousands of patients with rare conditions in joint reconstruction, “regardless of financial circumstances.”
