A group of artists are employing a new type of software that can drastically change the ways in which art is constructed and produced.

The software, which has been inspired by the workings of neuroscience, has allowed computers to identify objects within photos.

As a result, the artists built an art-generating software that allows photos, videos, and line drawings to be interpreted by code and eventually produce distorted faces and figures.

Calling themselves “neurographers,” the group hopes their work will be recognized as art by critics who may disregard the unconventional pieces.

Ultimately, the artists hope the technology will improve and cause viewers to become unable to distinguish their works from photos or painted artworks.
