Higher Education Targets Remote Students to Increase Enrollment

A new report from the Brookings Institution found that more higher education institutions are targeting remote students in order to improve their enrollment numbers.

Last year the number of students applying to UC schools dropped for the first time in several years, it was revealed in a January report. Already more than 600 higher education institutions planned to create better online learning opportunities for their students in 2018.

Higher education institutions are responding to a drop in applicants by offering online courses and learning curricula that will help better prepare students for the type of work they actually want to do. Additionally, they are working to address the various and different needs of different students who would apply to the school.
