African Americans Believe Discrimination Still Exists

According to a recent study conducted by NPR, nearly all of the 802 African Americans surveyed believe discrimination remains prevalent in the US.

Of the individuals surveyed, about half claimed they experienced racial bigotry directly by not being paid or promoted equally at work.

The study also found that respondents viewed discrimination differently based on their gender, age, and where they lived.

In particular, black men often experience more prejudice from police officers compared to their female counterparts.

Overall, African Americans are more likely to live in poverty and attend segregated and underfunded schools compared to other racial groups.
